Morning backache problem solved 1.5 years later still great!
Had to leave sleeping in bed behind a few years ago and start sleeping in a recliner, because it reduced morning stiffness and backache. Got this recliner in January 2020, and it didn't just reduce the problem, it pretty well solved it. The recliner is nice and firm, kind of like a firm mattress. Motor controlled head, lumbar support, back angle and footrest height makes fine tuning the sleep position very easy. I am 6 feet 3 inches tall, and not only is there good head support, but the leg rest leaves less foot dangle than any previous king-size recliner. Big bonus: The recliner's footprint is small enough that it fits in the bedroom and I'm sleeping alongside my spouse again. Sleeping at a slant also eliminated a minor sleep apnea problem. The only negatives: The multiple motors make the recliner very heavy and difficult to move. And when we hooked up the wiring, it took a bit of experimentation to understand how the wire guard clips swiveled open and closed.
A year and a half later: Still amost like new. The fabric has held up very well under very heavy use. No bunched or changed padding. And morning backache still a thing of the past.
