I do recommend a partner when assembling this item, I did it alone and it took a few hours and a few breaks The instructions were pretty simple and everything overall was easy to assemble. I really love this bed, with my last bed my shins were constantly bruised from hitting the edge. Sometimes I intentionally hit the edge of this one in celebration that I wont be hurt again Very pleased!!!!
