Very good product for the money with one very slight modification.

When the product arrived in flat boxes, I was a little suspect of what the final product would look like.
Constructing:
Fairly simple. This took about 2-3 hours all in.
Should have been less, but the room I was working in was fairly small. construct in the room where you are going to use the bed.
Everything was fairly straight forward. No major issues except which screw to use at times.
Use: bed and trundle has held up unexpectedly well. I thought my daughter would need to use extra care when having friends over. It is remarkably strong.
The one issue that we did encounter was the trundle mattress. It really only accepts a really thin mattress for the trundle. I think our mattress is right at the limit of the height that is stated in the description. Over time of moving the trundle in and out, the mattress would catch on one of the crossmembers that goes from the headboard to the footboard. Eventually, with the addition of linens on the bed, I forced the trundle in and broke the crossmember. This was a good thing in the end. I made a modification that allowed a little more room for the matress on the trundle.
Fortunately for me, I am pretty handy and this was a simple fix for me to perform. If this was not fixed and the cross-member were left in disrepair, it would have caused issues with the rigidity of the bed. It is important to the strength of the bed frame. I can see where other reviewers may have rated this low because the bed may have weakened.
Overall, I have been very satisfied with the purchase. Delivery was as expected. My daughter is still using the bed today. looks good!
