My poor usps lady had to deliver this, and the box itself is pretty small, (considering the contents), but on the heavy/awkward size. Super easy to assemble though, and super cute. The one thing I would recommend when putting it together though is the steps where they have you assembling the part that holds the mattress, they tell you screw the outside parts together first loosely then place the bars in the center. I would suggest to place all the bars and then screw in the nuts and bolts to the outside of those 2 mattress frame squares.
The other thing is that when you go to move the bed to its final spot in the room, make sure that you are grabbing low on the bed frame because the canopy part is not bolted in to the bottom of the bed frame, so all four posts can pop right out if you forget and grab on the post to help maneuver it. One thing I found slightly odd was that the hardware on this bed is gold (even though we purchased the white frame), I would have thought the hardware would match the selected color. But it doesnt affect the overall functionality of the bed and with the curtains we installed you really cant tell. If I were going to use this bed in a guest room with no canopy or for an adult Id spray paint the hardware to match.
Another tip is if you are planning to use curtains on this bed to make a canopy situation make sure you put half (or a little over half) on to the top bar before you secure the top bar with the nuts and bolts, and warps the other portion to the other bar and secure. (Then you wont have to undo it later).
Overall it is a cute bed for a child and looks great in her newly remodeled bedroom.
