One of the easiest pices of furniture I have ever assembled!
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Just received my brown Basics Mid-Back Office Chair today (10/7/2018). Arrived nicely packaged and within a couple of days of ordering. Immediately opened it and got out all the pieces. It basically ships in seven (7) major pieces, and the hardware needed to assemble them together: One bottom and one backrest, two padded hand rests, footstand, lift mechanism, and tilt and raise/lower actuator. You have three little ziplock bags with two kinds of screws and plastic plugs to cover them, and one handy little allen wrench. Pop the five wheels in the stand, and put the actuator in the middle of the stand. Now flip the chair bottom over and secure the lift and tilt actuator with four screws into it. Lift the chair bottom up and put it down on the stand. Take the two hand rests and secure them to the bottom, one on each side, of course, and then take the back rest and secure the backrest in place by screwing four screws - two on each side into it through the chairs hand rests. You are done. Takes ten minutes, 15 if you take your time. Once everything is connected, tighten each screw again and cap them with plugs.
The chair is well padded covered with some sort of soft pleather. I also purchased a maintenance plan for $8, I thought it is worth it in the long run - three or four years, I think, for them to come and fix the chair if it fails or to re-cover it if the pleather tears, as it will be a chair that will be used daily for study for many years to come. I like it a lot. I hope it lasts. When it breaks, I will update this review.
