This bed is awesome! We bought it for our 5/year/old son who wanted a raised bed. Its big enough for him to grow into and tall enough that it feels like a bunk bed without the added height for him to jump out of (gotta love kids). Its very sturdy, it wasnt too difficult to put together (took 2 people 2/3 hours). Ive gotten in and out of it to make the bed and I feel totally safe in. The stairs are a little thin for bigger feet but see above about kid jumping out of bed
