Chair assembly was a bit awkward due to the fit had to be a certain position and the directions were not totally clear on front bar vs back side of bar but they took less then 40 minutes for the first and then about 20 minutes for the 2nd. I bought two sets and the gray is plush and feels plush. The chairs have held up against stains as we use the bar for little ones to eat on occasions.
