I bought this fan originally about 8 years ago, and it lasted that entire time. I used it in my bedroom and slept with it on every night and let it run during the day. When I worked from home I would leave it on for weeks at a time without turning it off. It has great airflow and a lot of power behind it, which makes it nice for a cool night of sleep or even summer days. Ive owned many fans in my time, and this fan has proven to be one of the best. It is well worth the money. Recently the engine burned out from the 8 year old one I owned and I bought a new one right away. I have noticed it is a bit louder than the last one I owned, but it works amingly and the loudness of it becomes white noise. I highly suggest purchasing this fan if youre in the market for a heavy/duty, long/lasting fan.
