For the Trundle I purchased a 6 mattress which is perfect for the roll movementanything higher will not allow the smoothness of the roller movement. I GOT what I paid for! The gentleman who assembled my bed because the assembly is time consuming with lots of partsI got to tell ya he did a heck of a JOB!!
