Assembly wasnt too hard but it did take a few hours. We modified the bottom bunk into a twin to save some space. I know I could have bought a similar bed that I wouldnt have had to modify but theyre not as cute as this one and they didnt have a slide. the great bed is very sturdy even with the changes we made and its beautiful. The slide is steep but after a few days they figured out how to safely slide down it. My girls love their new big girl bed so Im happy with my purchase.
