The base seems to be very sturdy and it looks great. However it took my very experienced husband and son over 2 hours to assemble as the instructions were useless.
It only has brackets for the headboard and I'm really disappointed that there is nothing for the footboard. I bought it as I was under the impression that you could attach both.
