The nightstand was very easy to assemble and had detailed pictures showing step-by-step but even without the instructions it was extremely easy to put together. I have a full size mattress on a 14 inch bed frame, and this nightstand sits beside it and the two are just about level. It is important to note that the product is small so if you were considering this option I would always recommend measuring out the intended spot so you have the correct idea as to how it will look. That being said I prefer the smaller size to the size of my room. Like most things it comes with extra hardware so if you have one screw left over after the assembly, dont fret. It comes with an additional piece that would secure it to a wall and prevent tipping given how lightweight the piece of furniture is, but once you feel the two fabric drawers with your belongings it will not need that to be mounted to a wall, but if you have small children, the wall mounting option is perfect for that. The entire thing ships in a very compact box, which is nice. The fabric drawers mine came with steel incredibly durable as well
