Box was large of course, but not long and awkward likeee others Ive seen. Its more of a square box because the futon folds in half. It was very well packaged. In fact I was quite impressed by the way they figured out how to package it all together. Assembly instructions were easy to follow and I had no problem putting it together by myself. Assembled and in place.....Im very happy with it. I dont have anything negative to say about it. Its a quality piece of furniture for the $money$.
