Other reviews I saw said this was difficult to assemble Its not.
1. Definitely use an electric drill. A hex wrench for drills is provided.
2. Unpack the box and use the box as a surface on which to assemble
3. When you get to step 4 in their directions put the chair on its side and insert the seat tenons into the mortise holes of the side lying down. Use your weight to push hard if it doesnt fit exactly. You wont be able to put in the screws since the holes are underneath.
4. Then proceed with step 5 / affixing the other side (chair still on its side). Screw in all the screws but leave 1/2 inch and dont sock them down until youve got the top piece in place and everything lines up.
5. Turn the chair back over and screw in the remaining two screws for the seat (omitted in step 4)
Using this technique, I was able to assemble each chair in 15/20 minutes, by myself. (I bought 4)
Note: The holes dont always line up exactly. When that happens push the screw through and start it into the hole but dont tighten it completely until you get the other screw(s) started. There is enough give in the plastic so when you now tighten all the screws the pieces will fit into place.
The final assembly is sturdy and comfortable although I think a seat cushion will help a lot.
Not hard to assemble, sturdy, brilliant white
