This is an attractive, sturdy rocker. I like that it seems as if it will last a long time and wont require a lot of upkeep; we liked it enough to order another but not enough for a top rating. Heres why:
Assembly: Its not easy to assemble. Ive put together many do/it/yourself items and for this I had to unscrew a couple of the factory/tightened screws to fit parts properly, as well as use a rubber mallet to assemble the seat in the side frames. The manufacturer DID make a note in step 2 regarding not tightening screws, but be really aware that the WHOLE chair should be assembled with screws before tightening ANY OF THEM. Theres some give in the assembly and with everything loose/ish (along with my trusty mallet) I was able to get all the joints seated. Also take care not to use a power driver if you tend to strip screws out due to over/torquing. A confession: I did not view the assembly video.
Comfort: This chair was also (for either my wife or me) not as comfortable as it could have been. A little larger seat/to/back angle design would be better; the chair makes you sit up straight for sure! Were going to try getting a pad for the bottom to see if it helps. The rocker bottoms appear smooth enough, but theres a definite non/smooth feeling when rocking. Hopefully this will wear in over time. The porch surface where this rocker resides is smooth concrete so thats not the issue.
So/ really a mixed/bag review. Compared to similar rockers on this looked really nice; I wish I could have provided a 5 star recommendation!
