I ordered two of these chairs. I believe one was a return that was not inspected before it was sent to me. We opened that one first and there were no instructions. There were scratches everywhere and someone had wrapped it up with packing tape and it was almost impossible to get the sticky off. I used goo gone but still had to scrape it and hoped that I did not take the paint off which I did not. It took a long time to get all of the sticky off and some just did not come off. The second box was perfect. Came with instructions (too bad we didnt open that one first) And there was no wood to tape contact. If all I had was the first chair, I never would have ordered a second. Too much trouble to send the first one back so I kept it.
