We bought this to furnish our new house, the boxes it came in were a little torn up but no big deal (that's shipping for you). The product looked good and was fairly easy to assemble, as long as you have 2 people. After reading reviews of bed bugs I checked the padding and everything throughout and never saw any but sprayed using essential oils to kill anything that could be on it to be on the safe side. It looks good once put together, I mean obviously it's not super high end but it's nice. My one complaint is that a week after having it a 165 lb person sat on the edge of the bed to put on shoes and yoyhear a crack/pop noise and it seems that the footboard somehow popped or broke in two. The bed didn't break but it now makes a popping noise of you touch the footboard so it's a little annoying just because if you get something new you don't expect that to happen. But it still is functional. I would recommend a bunkie board though... because tucking sheets in is awful with the crossboards.
For reference we purchased a king bed and the bed does seem sturdy except the footboard.
Nice bed except don't sit on the edge
