I wanted a sturdy bunk and this met all expectations. Sturdiness was my biggest concern, which is why I avoided metal bunks. You can definitely expect a few hours to put this together, but it was not as hard as I thought it would be. Biggest advice is to organize all the parts and lay them out in sections. It will save time. But great bed, my son loves it!
