We purchased a new, expensive queen from a top retailer (who shall not be named because I never write negative reviews and would have to in this case). Their arrived stained and smelling like ammonia. I still wonder if the chemical smell damaged our lungs. The salesperson we were working with said it is typical with es and you have to de/gas them. What? Needless to say we sent the back. After being told that a replacement wouldnt be available for 6 weeks with no guarantee I got a full refund of 392 for the + 20 off the price of the for our trouble. So we went looking online for the BEST and found Bob Villas excellent article on the subject. We bought his top pick, the and it was almost 1/2 the price and arrived within 10 days. It is vacuum and pressure sealed and the queen came in a relatively small box that was left on our stoop. I couldnt believe how it grew and puffed up after we opened it. And NO SMELL! NONE! Degassing? I wrote to the top furniture store and made sure they knew that there are es without gassing your customers! Thanks , for saving the day. Now out sons friend, who is visiting for Thanksgiving will have a place to sleep!
