Best advice I saw in the instructions and in several reviews - Don't tighten anything down! Leave it loose. I put it together myself in about 3 hours, probably could have done it faster but I've learned not to hurry. When it's together and tight it's very solid. We've been using it for about 3 months and it still doesn't squeak or shake, my wife and I are big people probably about 500 lbs. on this bed almost every night. I'd recommend it.
