This is a great addition to my home office. I bought this item for my office to store books and planner supplies. It was relatively easy to put together by myself. The instructions were clear and all parts were very well labeled. The item was packaged very well to prevent damage in shipping. My box arrived all mashed and crushed on the ends, but there was a thick piece of styrofoam on each end and so the cabinet was protected.
Getting a perfectly even gap spacing for the doors would require 2 people, because I put screws in where it was pre-drilled and the door gaps are not perfectly aligned. Also, one pre-drilled section for the magnetic clasp was not correct so I had to drill a new hole for proper alignment. One downside is that if you put a screw in and then back it outit seems the section gets wallowed out and no longer has any more guts or substance. This happened when I had a screw that went in at an angle and I had to back it out, I had to drive some toothpicks into the section and then the screw was able to grab and hold.
One downside is that the finish mars relatively easily if anything metal slides across it. I had a notebook with metal coil on it and it left faint black marks when I slid the notebook across the top.
Overall I am very pleased with the purchase. It looks and functions great!!!
