although there was a lot less assembly than I was anticipating (7 pieces) and easier than I expected, the two lower pieces that have to be screwed in are very tight and would have been frustratingly near impossible to install using the small hex key they provide.
out of the 8 wooden plugs they provide for the screwholes, only two actually fit snug enough to stay in. the others will have to be glued in once I decide that I care. it doesn't look bad.
with everything screwed tight, this is a very sturdy and steady stool.
have a hex driver or ratchet handy
