We love the black metal with wood accents. Its perfect for my almost 2 year old. With the trundle and the bed against the wall we dont even need any sort of barrier to keep her on the bed. If she rolls off its just onto the trundle. If she rolls off the trundle its only about 7/8 off the floor. My husband put it together in about 30 minutes. We also purchased 2 / 6 memory foam mattresses from . The trundle needs a 6 mattress max. The top could take any thickness of mattress you wanted.
