We loveeee our new chairs. My husband put them together so I cant comment on that. However they are attractive, sturdy and comfortable. The recliner is just one setting, the foot raises and the back goes back somewhat. It does not lay flat. We have found them to be a great addition to our covered back porch. We are all 57-6 ft tall and they fit us nicely!
