I bought this bed to replace a wood bed that is 20 years old and was so excited to receive, assemble and redecorate my bedroom. When I started to put the bed together I quickly realized the bed is very tiny! I ordered a queen size bed and it is still the size for a child or teenagers bedroom. I am 59 and a curvy woman and would not be able to get into bed without ducking under the pole for the canopy. I can see myself hitting my head when I get out of bed forgetting that it is so low or my boyfriend hitting it when he comes to bed. Also, even though we are below the weight limit together I do not believe the bed would hold up very well for adult activities. Do not get this, its a waste of money. I already threw out the large box so Im stuck with it so Ill put it in the guest room for my niece to use when she occasionally spends the night but this is not for a fully grown adult bedroom.
