This umbrella was easy to set up after we got the base filled. The base wasnt particularly hard to do, just time consuming. It definitely takes two people to put the umbrella in place because it is top heavy. Once it is in place the handles used to spin it and lift the canopy work smoothly. I was very pleased with that feature and have no problems opening and closing it. The closed umbrella is quite tall, so I was afraid I wouldnt be able to manage the cover. However, there is a stiffener sewn in which makes it easy to put the cover on and take it off. The zipper is heavy duty and works smoothly.
