After you throw out the directions, assembly was fairly easy. I did it myself in less than 20 minutes. Lay out your parts to figure out what goes with which piece because nothing is labeled correctly. For example, the left wing was labeled right wing, etc. Unless of course you are looking at the chair which the left would have been your seated right. You get the idea. Nevertheless, you are better off eyeballing it rather than following the 8 pages of directions. I never did find the zipper pouch
