Based on other reviews I was worried about the quality and finish. I ordered two in the linen color and it is a nice fabric and is more gray than ivory. The stitching is fine with no puckers or issues. Since I planned to use them as steps for my small dogs to gain access to furniture I wanted fabric rather than faux leather for traction. As other reviews stated, it is prone to tipping over. I think it is because the legs are not placed at the corners but rather a little inside the corners so it is not as stable. Our heaviest dog (13 pounds) doesn't seem to have an issue but our small 7 pounders tip it over. To remedy the issue, I ordered some 3 round wooden discs which I painted black to match the legs of the footstool and then attached them to the bottom of each leg creating a larger foot/base on the legs. This has seemed to greatly improve the stability and keep the stools from being knocked over when the pups jump on and off of them. I realize it is a pain but I liked the look, shape, style, color, and height of the stools so much it was worth it for me.
Nicer than expected
