The tree is in 3 sections that go together quickly. The bottom 2 sections of this tree have hinged branches, but the top section is like a giant floral pick and you have to bend the branches out and arrange them by hand. My biggest complaint is that after an hour of fluffing and shaping ( IMO definitely not a quick and easy job as others have described) it is still possible to see right through the tree. I purchased this tree based on the photo included in the description and the tree shown is much thicker and fuller than the actual tree. I dont want to delay the process of getting a tree by sending this back, and finding something else, but this will end up as an outdoor decoration next year and I will get something else / definitely not from.
