Though the bed looks nice and so far seems sturdy; I just started using it as the mattress I bought on never arrived so I had to order one from Wayfair-cheaper and it arrived! The problem is how the cross bars attach to the rails. They each have a plastic tab that snaps into the rails. Problem is, they pop out if the mattress moves and you need to move the mattress to tuck in the sheets. The description said you do not need a box spring but, if your want to save your hands you might want to get one. While tucking in the sheets, you have to lift the mattress and you'll bang up your fingers as they hit the tabs. Also, the part of the sheet that is tucked under the mattress falls in between the cross bars. I would not buy this bed again. Tucking a sheet should be simple not painful.
Cross bars have a bad way of attaching to rails.
