I wanted to get rid of my wood rectangle coffee table since I now have grandchildren that are soon to be toddlers and wanted something safer for them to climb on and be around with no sharp corners. This exceeded my expectations for quality and design. The color is a beautiful rich burgundy and I love that the cover comes off and underneath has a beautiful cherry colored wood to turn it into a serving table if needed. The storage space is an added bonus. The only assembly is screwing on the legs. I love it and am so glad I went ahead and purchased it.
