    Beautiful, comfortable leather sofa

I took a chance on the chestnut leather version of this sofa, and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted. The leather itself is soft, especially on the seating surfaces and arms. It has a lovely, mild leather smell. It appears to be high quality. The stitching is well done and the legs are also high quality, fully finished with felt bottoms. It is attractive from all angles. So much smaller and cheaper furniture ends up being too firm for comfort or rock hard. I saw that time and time again in sofa reviews, and it scared me off numerous other options. This is in my living room - its not a decorative piece! And Im pleased to say that the comfort level is exactly right. Bottom cushions are supportive but have a couple inches of give. The backs are softer. Im sure I could sleep on here, although Id probably throw a comforter over first. With the back cushions off, the sleeping area (between the armrests) is 30 by 71 (5 11). Drawbacks? I would point out two minor things. Its very light - which could be a positive or negative - but that means that it slides around easily on a hard floor. This is true of just about all cheaper furniture these days. The other thing is that I wish the back cushions had some Velcro on the backs. They do tend to slide forward quite easily. I probably will have my friend fix that for me. The bottom cushions stay put. That said, this is still a 5-star review. I read lots of reviews before an expensive purchase and will often times find myself having buyers remorse or wondering if I should have gone another direction. Not so here. I am thrilled with this sofa! It is every bit as nice as anything at West Elm or the other furniture stores I visited, was a great price, and is comfortable enough to live on.
