Yes it has A LOT of parts, but my husband was able to put it together in a reasonable amount of time.
Parts are packaged well and clearly labelled which helped a lot.
We saw the previous reviews and made sure to measure our Direct TV box as well as our DVD, bluray player, wireless router and Wii. They all fit great. We also have plenty of room of the right side of the shelves to place double rows of DVDS.
We are very pleased with the purchase, especially after we searched over 8 local stores for a corner TV stand and found NOTHING. We have been using it for about 2 months now, while our TV is mounted in the corner wall and not on the actual TV stand it is great storage, and we are able to keep all our dvds away from our 10 month old!
