I moved for the 4th time in 2 years and decided to ditch my 20 year old mattress and just order this one to the new place. My back sucks and I am not supposed to lift anything, so I ordered this knowing it would be delivered right to my door without me having to lug it across town from the store to my apartment. It arrived extremely quickly in just a few days, and was easy to take out of the box and unwrap. It inflated in a few hours, and I let it sit for 5 days before I used it (because of overlapping leases, the new place was vacant for a week while I packed). My mattress definitely had a smell, at first it was so bad it burned my eyes the first time I slept on it. The circulation in my apartment sucks, so I had one tiny window trying to get the smell out. It took probably a week to get the pungent smell out, and another 2 weeks after that to completely rid the smell of the mattress. My clothes that were in the same room I let the mattress inflate got smelly too, so I rewashed them and then they were fine. It is just something to be aware of, the mattress came with directions to air it out and that it could be smelly. Comfort wise the mattress seems fine to me, it is much better than the 20 year old mattress I was sleeping on. It is nice and tall, and fit my queen sheets I already had. I would probably order this again, but try to air it out better and clear the room of any other possessions before hand. It was concerning until I read the reviews how long the smell lasted, and then I just rode it out. Also my dog likes the new bed!
