Matress is comfortable, my daughter has a queen and swears by it. I havent noticed any cooling effect, but it is very nice to sleep on. We waited 84 hours prior to sleeping on it and it only expanded to 10.5 (we bought the 12). Two corners did stay crushed (opposite corners if making an X). It is about 3 wider than our box spring and overhangs the wooden sides of the bed. Overall, its comfortable, but expensive for the quality.
