I bought this cabinet to use as extra kitchen storage for my old home. Seems that older houses were rarely built with much storage. This cabinet has really helped with holding extra groceries that would not fit in my other cabinets, and with pots and pans, cleaning products, and even my pets food and treats. The unit was very easy to assemble. I took my time and followed all directions carefully. A lot of peoples reviews claimed the parts came scratched up and damaged. The only parts I had that were damaged, was the bottom shelf had a spot on it, that looked like the veneer ripped as it was being put on. Also, the top of one of the doors had some veneer scraped off, but I can probably cover that with some dark brown marker or paint. The unit is fairly solid once assembled. Certainly not for heavy duty use, but it serves my purpose, and at this price, well its pretty great. My only complaint is how DARK it is. I bought the Cinnamon Cherry color, but Unless light is shining directly on the unit, it pretty much looks black. I had hoped for a dark brown, but not quite this dark. It will work though! **Sanity saving tip** when attaching the doors, put the hinges together on the cabinet, THEN attach the hinges to the doors. Otherwise, you will have issues and want to toss the whole thing out the door! lol This method worked great for me. I am a 57 yr old woman, and I built it by myself in a few hours. I have put a lot of other furniture together in the past though. ALSO, in other reviews I noticed complaints of the doors not lining up. If you look at the directions, there is a way to adjust that by turning certain screws on the hinges!
