I hated the cheap metal/glass stand my tv had been sitting on for the last 10 years, but I have a hard time replacing things that still do their jobs. I finally gave in and bought this stand. It's amazing how much of a difference it made to my living room. It feels rock solid, and looks like it cost twice as much.
Assembly was....well, I suffered a bit. Because some of the legs are angled, the bolts can be difficult to install. Get a ratcheting wrench or screwdriver if you can, it'll make things much easier. Also, the holes for the door stops are not pre-drilled, instead there are small notches to help get the screws started. I used my smallest drill bit to make a pilot hole after 10 minutes of failing to get a screw started. Just keep it small and shallow.
The upgrade I needed
