I just got my first apartment this week and have spent the past couple days building furniture. Bed frame, dresser, nightstands, you name it. This was up and away the most difficult. The pictures in the instructions weren't the clearest (or the instructions themselves), and there was some trial and error involved, mainly when installing the doors. The hardware kit had a MILLION different things in it, so much so that if you can assemble this, you can put it on your resume when you apply to build NASA's spaceships.
The material also scratches easily. We (yeah, this required help to assemble, unlike everything else) managed to put a gash on the top wood piece during assembly, despite our best efforts to be gentle. Granted, this is particle board, but for the price I guess I expected more durability. I lucked out though as the leg on my TV goes right over it! If you aren't so lucky and happen to scrape yours, the material is dark enough that you could probably just trace the scrape with a black or brown marker and no one would notice.
That aside, after assembly this thing is pretty solid and looks great. Despite the complex assembly and easily scratchable wood, I'd still recommend this. Just take your time, be diligent and gentle during assembly.
Pain to install, but great afterwards
