I have the mechanical aptitude of a chimpanzee, which may be putting it generously, but still had no problem putting it together. We have it in our furnished apartment and its held up wonderfully. Definitely a bit on the firm side but not too bad (nobody has complained) and dont think its even really broken in yet so the foam may soften up a bit yet. If youre using it as a futon to sleep on I would add a topper for additional comfort, but other than that, overall a great value.
