These were easy to put together. Just follow the directions. Unlike other reviewers, I had no issue with the predrilled holes lining up. The biggest thing is to make sure you dont tighten all the major sections (seat, back, armrests) until you have all the sections attached to each other. The first one took about an hour to assemble and the second about 30 minutes.
These are made of soft wood and appear to be presanded but they will need to be stained and protected with urethane (or similar) for outdoor use.
I have them around a firepit and they are comfortable to sit on. Ill likely bring them into the garage during the colder months.
