Just about everything I could want in a recliner/lift chair.
Six months later: The chair still performs well. I now use the lift feature and it works well for me. FYI, I am 65 and weigh about 275 so it can handle large people. One thing I would changeI would make the leg lift go higher. It doesnt raise my legs all the way to the horizontal
There are many features about this chair that I like. All of these have been commented on by other customer reviews so I wont bore you by listing them again; Ill just say I agree with all the positive reviews. Im still getting used to the chair as I have had another recliner for so long and am so used to use a side lever to recline and having it recline almost immediately.
Things that might concern you are the speed that motors move to position this chair. I guess it is designed for the REALLY old, fragile or disabledwhich is finebut I wish they offered a second, faster speed. If you are laid out and the phone rings, youd better hope the caller lets it ring at least 10X because it will take you almost 1 minute to get out of the chair
One other thing. When you are putting this chair together, you are required to connect (what I call a DIN jack) which connects to the remote that controls the lift. But the female end is down in the side pocket and you have to try to line it up and connect this cable in the cramped pocket and you cant see what you are doing. The manufacture needs to make the female cable about a foot longer so you can pull it out of the pocket so you see how to connect it. To connect mine, I had to hold a small flashlight in my mouth to get enough light to see what I was doing. This is poor design.
Otherwise, its a great chair. I am only using the recline function as I really dont need the lift function. yet. Fortunately I can still use my arms to push me up and out. But I know those days are not far away when I will need a lift. So since I needed a new recliner, planning ahead, I bought a lift/recliner. And I have no regrets for doing so. I look forward to many years of comfort in this chair.
