Elegant and sturdy but compact enough for smaller areas

This Arise Vintage French Upholstered Dining Chair is elegant and sturdy but compact enough for smaller areas. This chair arrives completely assembled and well padded with foam. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it is. You won't throw your back out moving this around or carrying it to another room. The next thing I noticed is how lovely it is. It's elegant in an understated way. It has a vaguely shabby chic look. The upholstery is a durable polyester that resembles coarse woven linen. It's a neutral, natural beige color. The seat and chair back are upholstered and the arms have a small, attached, upholstered arm rest. There is double, self piping around the edges of the upholstery. The chair back features tufting with self-covered buttons. The upper back of the chair is exposed and upholstered. The seat and the chair back is padded and comfortable. The wood frame features carved fluting which is enhanced by the pickled/whitewashed finish. The pickling settles in the grain and the fluting to give it a vintage look. The purposeful roughness of the wood in places also suggests age and years of use. As if it was once white and the paint has rubbed off over many, many years. It's quite lovely. Sitting in the chair is a pleasure for me but you should know that this chair almost forces the person to sit very upright. I prefer sitting with very upright posture because of some back issues so this is perfect for me however, if you are not comfortable in an upright posture, this is likely not a good choice for you. Also, this is a fairly compact chair, width wise. While this would be a lovely dining chair, I am using it at my small writing desk and I love it. It looks wonderful, is comfortable and is lightweight enough to scoot in and out very easily.
