They look exactly as pictured. Assembly was very easy. They could be a bit more comfy, I find them a bit stiff - a foam fill seat would be much nicer. The fabric snags and pulls easily, and unfortunately my cats are already slowly destroying them despite my best efforts to keep them away. Leather or suede may have been a better choice given my cats. All in all, I do very much like the chairs!
