When they say its an accent chair, its pretty much just that. Its not comfortable. Its very stiff and will do for the occasional guest who sits in it for a short time. But since we need it in a room where we actually sit in our chairs, we went out and bought another one after ensuring it would be comfortable. So we moved this one to another room where it looks great, and were sure no one will ever actually sit in it. For accent use only.
