Feels hard when sat upon, thin cushion material. It is sooooo much smaller than I thought it would be, but it is my fault for not reading the measurements correctly. Everyone laughed when I set it up and asked if it was a fancy dog bed. When an average adult sits on it, they are in a squat. My 50 daughter can sit on it with her feet on the floor. Too much hassle to send back, lesson learned- measure with a tape measure and compare.
