This storage bench is sturdy. I wouldnt let kids jump on it, as with any furniture, but for sitting on to put shoes on, it is plenty sturdy. There is no wobbling once it is assembled correctly.
We are able to store two to three throw blankets in the bench. Alternatively two blankets and the cushion in the picture above fit in.
The lid stays up on its own and doesnt drop down. So I dont have to worry too much about childrens fingers being caught because of an unsteady lid. At this point Ive had the bench a couple of months and it seems that there is no reason for the hinges to deteriorate in this regard.
Customer service is good. There was a problem with a small snag near the hinge. It took One follow up email, but the supplier sent me a new section for the bench without a problem. Basically the box section. They did this at no cost to me, so I was happy with how they rectified the issue.
I love the color, design and fit for my purpose storage capacity. The customer service will make me consider this company for the next incidental furniture I may purchase.
