The stand comes just above my knees, and I am 55 1/2. It was easy to put together, and as you can see I have put a plant on top, and a book below. I havent tried stacking multiple books down there yet to check out its sturdiness, but I have moved it several times. Being realistic, it is meant to sit in a place without a lot of movement or trying to stack 50 pounds of stuff on it. It is a great price, good quality, color is on point, and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. It is also very child safe, with no screws visible, edges are pointy, light weight but sturdy for easy move throughout the house.
