Perfect for small spaces! Surprisingly elegant yet totally functional.
First of all, I never leave reviews, and I have had this chair for all of 24 hours, and am already in love. This chair is literally perfect for me and my space, and might be the most satisfying furniture rchase Ive ever made on . When quarantine hit and I started working from home, the only chair I had to work with was an upholstered velvet accent chair. Very lovely, but absolutely not meant for use as a desk/office chair. Sitting at a laptop for 8 hours a day on that thing wreaked utter havoc on my back. Recently moving from my rented room to a small New York City one bedroom, I figured it was finally time to get a real desk chair. One that could also function as extra living room seating, didnt take up too much space, and matched my new furniture and decor, and after hemming and hawing over options at several different sites (wayfair, overstock, Facebook market, etc.the usual bargain suspects) decided to go with this. Firstly, this thing was fool/proof assembly. Literally the one thing you have to do is screw in the legs, which are all connected to one piece. I didnt even need to look at the instructions, it was that obvious an simple where and how to screw them. Secondly, and this is probably just my overactive imagination, but as soon as I sat down I swear I could FEEL my back realigning (and hear it singing thank you to me for finally buying the right type of chair). Its the perfect firmness and height for a full/time work desk. And last, but certainly not least, it looks so so great. Again, small NYC apt, and so it needed to be something fairly small and simple, and not some big bulky spaceship seat that screams office chair, as my office is literally a corner of my living room. Like wheels? Definitely out of the question. This takes up the perfect amount of space, looks completely appropriate at my desk, and yet still manages to look so stylish and elegant. I have fairly traditional/timeless, feminine/skewing design tastes, and dont usually like super minimal, modern,m furniture, but the mid/century inspired design, with the long thin, flared legs, and the subtly curving back and seat, really brings the perfect touch of tradition without looking old or musty. It really nails that modern/traditional, masculine/feminine balance that Im always looking for. ALSO, such a plus that you can buy just one and not a set! Maybe not so great if you are looking to actually use it as a dining chair, as its meant to be, but definitely a win for me.
