I bought this for the added storage, as well as keeping the pets from going underneath the bed. Big, heavy box arrived slightly damaged and I was a bit worried. But all the contents are packed really well. The boards are all covered in a cloth and stacked between styrofoam. Nothing was damaged. Assembly was a bit tricky at times. Not all the screw holes matched up. Took 2 people about 2 hours to put together. Very solid and sturdy. I placed box spring and mattress on top. Its quite tall, but super comfy. The 2 drawers pull out easily and have a locking pin to keep them in place (and keep the cats from sneaking underneath). I plan to buy another for my guest room bed.
