The material it's made out of is soft. We haven't put it up yet but it looks very sturdy and well made. Great value for price, fast shipping to Hawai'i. We don't have room for a hammock chair so this is the perfect chair to add to our lanai. Goes great with the macrame wall hangings I purchased on too. Boho beach bungalow vibes.
